Message from the President

The start of the APICS 2010-2011 season is coming soon. This year is a special year for Providence as we will celebrate our 50th year as the 17th APICS Chapter in the State of Rhode Island. Look for a celebration in the coming year to reflect and honor all those who have served in the past. Your Board of Directors work all year to provide your programs, workshops and chapter governance. Please take the time to thank them and show how much you appreciate their efforts. Remember, nothing happens without the volunteer efforts of our members.

March 2010 - Providence

All Members,

In compliance with our by-laws, we must present a slate of Officers for election to our members no later than the April Meeting and vote on that ballot at the May meeting. Some positions require previous experience with APICS Chapters or be currently serving on the Providence Board. Please review the By-Laws on our website www.apicsprov.org for more details. If you would like to place your name on the ballot, please submit your name and desired position to Jeff Kearns in writing no later than April 1, 2010.

All nominees must be members in good standing to be placed in nomination.

October 2009 - Providence

The Providence Chapter unanimously voted to award the 2009-2010 company of the year award to General Dynamics C4 Systems. This award will be presented to General Dynamics at the November 17th Top Management Night. More information to follow...

September 2009  -Society

We are pleased to announce the kick off of the 2009 Scholars Education Program. As you may be aware, the Scholars Education Program is a unique educational opportunity to introduce undergraduate and graduate students to APICS and the profession through a scholarship to attend the APICS International Conference and Expo.
